BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT:  [N.B. Either 110 or 220 Volt, but must be able to run on 50 cycle current.]

  • Pulse Oximeters—esp. the Nelcor N-100C, which has been a real workhorse
  • Cardiac monitors— Siemens, HP, Spacelabs etc
  • Ventilators:  used Bears, Puritan-Bennetts or such
  • Portable suction machines—Gomco
  • Mediastinoscope (Pilling or the like)
  • pulse oximeter finger clips for Nelcor units
  • Nebulizer machines


CONSUMABLE SUPPLIES:

  • 4x4 gauze bandages—non-sterile OK
  • Raytex 4x4 sponges and laparotomy sponges—non-sterile OK
  • skin staplers- used ok if more than 15 staples left
  • Tape - ALL sizes and varieties, plain, adhesive, cloth etc 
  • Gloves - all types and sizes except size 5 and below —non-sterile OK 
  • 1cc Syringes, both insulin and TB variety
  • Syringes, all sizes- sterile disposable 1cc-50cc
  • Angiocaths for IV fluid administration, sizes 18-24 gauge—PLEASE  no sizes bigger than 18g
  • Minidrip and burritrol sets with drips chambers for IV administration of low volumes in children. 60gtt per cc and “Burritrols”
  • Extension tubing or connectors for IV tubing which allow two or three lines to go into the one site.  ONLY the kind with two or three line extensions. All others NOT needed.
  • Hospital linens- sheets, draw sheets, and towels. Doctor scrub gowns
  • OR drapes—cloth used ok, all sizes
  • Disposable needles for injection- 26g-18g
  • Cotton balls
  • tongue blades
  • Q-tips- especially wooden or other sterilizable type
  • Cotton rolls and cast padding
  • Iodoform gauze
  • Powder- if possible without perfume or cornstarch
  • sterilizer paper and packets for steam and gas sterilizing
  • blood filters for transfusing blood scavenged from chest or belly

  • 3 way foley catheters 18-26fr (for TURPs) especially needed

  • Spinal Anesthesia needles - 22g.to 24g spinal needles—non-sterile OK

  • Pediatric anesthesia sets for non-rebreathing anesthesia (have mask, bag, tubing etc)
  • cuffed endotracheal tubes, small and med sizes- 3.0 – 7.5

  • Ethicon surgical clips LC-100, LC-200 and esp. LC-300. Nonsterile ok
