Association of Baptists was established in this nation, then known as East Pakistan, in 1957 with two major goals:
To establish a modern medical facility which provides quality, compassionate medical care and training for the people of southern Bangladesh, and
To assist in the physical, spiritual, social and educational development of the people of Bangladesh.
These goals are being accomplished through two projects: the Malumghat Hospital Project and the Human Resources Development Project.
We work in the southeast corner of Bangladesh. Expatriates train national leaders to direct and operate development projects, and then supervise new or expanding programs. Both expatriates and Bangladeshis are involved in a wide variety of projects, but we work together to fulfill the same purpose.
