I walk into the Health and Hope media production studio. Taposh Biswas, head of media programming, is arranging the set for filming a video on diabetes.
In the adjacent room, apprentice Abraham Tripura copies preaching cassettes that tribal leaders will give to village churches.
This year, five health videos have been produced:
- Child safety
- Dangers of smoking
- Malaria: cause and prevention
- Use of inhalers
- Dangers of Rice poisoning
- Three tribal preaching videos have also been filmed as well.
As I ask about current projects and vision for future productions, creative ideas flow.
Now in process are 3 more health videos:
- Birth control
- Dangers of Massage (Muscle Damage)
This coming month, the staff will be taking a course in power-point production. They are eager to use effective, new techniques in the days ahead.
