A New Year of Camps

Girl CampersBoy CampersThe Dishari Camp - Dishari means “lighthouse” - continues to meet a felt need for Christian campers each year. New Life Bangladesh plans to have 8 camps this year; a half-day camp on personal finances is being planned for local community members too. The recent girls’ camp (grades 6-8) was described as the most successful yet. The girls were attentive and enthusiastic about the teaching they received.

Camp facilities continue to be upgraded, as God provides funds. A small bathhouse has been built around an artesian well of year-round, free-flowing cold water. The conference room now has several exhaust fans; this is an immense improvement during the hot season. Electricity is sporadic, but with the donation of a couple of IPSes (Inverted Power Supply), the camp is able to cut costs by not running the generator as often as before.

Since receiving the needed funds, we plan to well-use the new multimedia system. This includes a computer, projector and sound system. A safety fence has been constructed around the pond.  We pray that Dishari Camp will continue to be a source of refreshing, everlasting water for those who thirst.

Is. 41:18 (ESV) – I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
