Education

Bangladesh’s literacy rate is rapidly increasing and now is at 75%. However, districts in which AOB operates have a slower literacy rate, because most people do not speak Bangla as their mother tongue. AOB offers formal and non-formal education, particularly to children from disadvantaged families.

Formal Education

Memorial Christian School provides quality education to our hospital staff and our surrounding community. AOB subsidizes our award-winning primary school.

Non-Formal Education

Light of Learning Centers meet academic needs of disadvantaged children and empower them to function well in society. The flexible, interactive learning style can be accomplished in community centers, churches, or homes. The Bangladesh government affirms these efforts by giving textbooks to all of our students.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Public schools emphasize written English; AOB’s TEFL classes offer practice in spoken English. Our program enables Bangladeshis to compete well in domestic and international job markets.

Theological Education

Baptist Bible College of Bangladesh classes offer in-depth Bible knowledge, practical application, and diverse service assignments. Graduates now pastor churches, administrate camps, direct seminars, teach at BBCB, and serve in local churches.
